Ecomar obviously takes the necessary care with the shared information, but cannot be responsible if certain information is outdated, incomplete or inaccurate. 1.WHO IS RESPONSIBLE?

This privacy and cookie policy regulates the processing of personal data for the provision of Ecomar with registered office at Chemin du Fundus 10, 7822 Ghislenghien with company number BE 0445988677, and as a contact person for the processing privacy@ecomar.be, and provides you with clear and comprehensive information about the cookies used by Ecomar on its website www.ecomar.eu and related websites or pages (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”) and the purposes of their use.

Insofar as you, as a client, would provide Ecomar with personal data of third parties, such as employees, independent employees or other contacts, Ecomar asks you to inform them of this privacy policy before sharing their personal data with Ecomar.

2.WHAT PERSONAL DATA DOES ECOMAR PROCESS?

Ecomar processes the following personal data:

  • Surname, first name, name of the company, position within the company, address of the company, legal form, email address, (mobile) telephone and fax, nationality, date of birth, gender, national number, VAT number, bank details, company number, preferred language, specific interests, sectors.

3.WHY DOES ECOMAR PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

Ecomar will process your personal data to:

- to be able to provide the products, services or information you request.

- keep you informed via newsletters and invitations of novelties that are relevant to your interests

- for marketing purposes in order to provide you with targeted information about relevant products and/or services and new offers from Ecomar and you, which we suspect may be of interest to you. To personalize this information to you, for example to be able to show you an advertisement of a product and/or service that we suspect you may be interested in based on the personal data processed by us

- complete its billing and general administration purposes.

All data does not leave Ecomar.

After that, your personal data can be kept for archival purposes.

4. WHAT IS THE LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

If you are a client, the processing of your personal data is necessary for the implementation of the agreement you have entered into with Ecomar concerning Ecomar’s delivering services and products.

If Ecomar receives personal data from third parties through you (e.g. employee or self-employed staff data), Ecomar processes these on the basis of your legitimate interest and that of Ecomar in order to have contact with that person within the framework of its services.

At your request or when this is part of its assignment, Ecomar can also contact contacts of yours that it receives from you, e.g. experts, accountants, suppliers, ... and this for the implementation of the product or service. In this case, you guarantee to have obtained the necessary consent from these contacts.

Since Ecomar receives your personal data in order to provide you with products and services, Ecomar is of the opinion that it is also in Ecomar’s legitimate interest to process your personal data in order to send you our newsletters and invitations to events. You may object to the processing of your personal data for these purposes at any time and free of charge by clicking “unsubscribe” at the bottom of the newsletter or electronic invitation.

5.PROCESSING TIME

Ecomar stores the personal data of the various parties at least during the period that you are a customer and for accounting reasons 7 years after the end of this collaboration.

After that, your personal data can be kept for archival purposes.

Ecomar confirms that this processing of personal data will be limited to what is necessary within the framework of legitimate interests.

If you have subscribed to Ecomar’s newsletters, these personal data will be processed until such time as you object to this processing for this purpose. In such a case, Ecomar will immediately remove your personal data from its mailing list. Such removal has no impact on the processing by Ecomar for the provision of its products or services.

6.SECURITY MEASURES

Ecomar has developed security measures that are suitably adapted on a technical and organisational level in order to avoid the destruction, loss, falsification, alteration, unauthorised access or accidental notification to third parties of collected personal data, as well as any other unauthorised processing of these data.

7.RIGHTS OF THE PERSONS CONCERNED

You have the right to access your personal data free of charge at any time, as well as Ecomar’s use of your personal data.

To exercise these rights, you can contact us at the following e-mail address: privacy@ecomar.be. Ecomar may request proof of identity for security reasons. Ecomar will process your request within one month at the latest. If Ecomar has legitimate reasons for not responding to this request, they will contact you and justify their decision.

7.1 Right of rectification, removal and restriction

You are free to choose whether or not to communicate your personal data to Ecomar. In addition, you always have the right to ask Ecomar to correct, supplement or remove your personal details. You acknowledge that in the event of refusal of notification or request for removal of personal data, certain services may not be available.

You may also ask to limit the processing of your personal data.

7.2 Right of opposition

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data for serious and legitimate reasons. In addition, you always have the right to object to the use of personal data for direct marketing purposes; in such a case, you do not even have to provide any reasons.

7.3 Right of free transfer of data

7.6 Right to complain

Such a complaint does not affect your right to take your case to a civil court..

8. WHAT ARE COOKIES?
